Dupont Kevlar is a solid material which makes the fabric shockproof and abrasion resistant. The inside of the pants is lined with soft cotton, making them even more comfortable. Moreover, the pants also feature removable hip protectors (and pockets for knee protectors), making them even safer. Without the protectors, these pants can be used as regular jeans. The pants also feature reflective stripes which can be found on the reverse bottom side. All you have to do to become more visible in low light conditions is roll up the legs.
