Yoga rollers – sometimes called bolsters or cylinders – are a practical accessory for yoga beginners whose muscle apparatus isn’t yet developed enough to handle all the exercises. Their main purpose is to help the user achieve positions they ordinarily wouldn’t be able to. You can lean on them or place them behind your back or under your legs.
Yoga rollers are usually made of EVA foam or a fabric filled with organic material, for example buckwheat. EVA foam bolsters are soft, light, moisture and water resistant and highly durable. Yoga bolsters made of organic materials are a bit heavier, but more comfortable. Aside from buckwheat, they can be filled with various herbs, like lavender.
Yoga rollers also differ in texture, size, shape and colour and so that everyone can take their pick.
