The FERRINO Baldas Lys Castor are reliable snowshoes with a specifically shaped frame that provides stability during a steep climb. The frame also has curved sides on the wider and bottom parts of the snowshoe, ensuring a safe step. The slant upper part prevents the snow from getting stuck in the snowshoe. Experienced climbers will appreciate this feature, especially when going downhill, as it makes the snowshoe glide through the snow, making your strides longer and faster.
The patented Castor binding consists of two straps – one at the tip and another around the ankle. They feature clasp fasteners; the ankle strap can be opened with a buckle. The TD system helps secure the shoe in place – there’s a steel lock that locks the back part of the binding in place; it can be opened by flipping it up. During a steep climb, you can use the lock, which acts as an integrated heel support, to make the climb more comfortable.
