The Motorcycle Helmet Alpinestars Supertech S-M8 Solid MIPS Black Matte 2022 is the result of more than five years of intensive study, development and testing. Based on Alpinestars’ five decades of protection development, we scrutinized every possible aspect to engineer a helmet that is safe and thoughtfully designed to deliver optimal protection and comfort. Shell construction utilizes a highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination: uni-directional carbon composite with aramid layer that gives significant radial strength around the shell, preventing compression but allowing controlled deflection for reducing transmitted impact energy, and providing critical penetration protection. This combination of layers is given even greater performance with an epoxy resin bonding that offers the best possible strength and energy management; limited outer shell deflection means the energy spreads wider and is better absorbed by the EPS liner.

Alpinestars has developed a unique visor release system which, while ensuring the mounting is held securely in place for riding over the most extreme terrain and any track conditions, provides exactly the right level of resistance to ensure the visor detaches from the helmet shell if it is subjected to a significant impact – no matter what the angle. The visor design of the M8 is also an integral part of the ventilation system as it is profiled to direct airflow, acting as a channel to concentrate and smooth the flow into the shell.

The Supertech M-8 also boasts an exclusive, multi-piece MIPS® (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) system that reduces rotational impact forces and mitigates the causes of brain injuries, such as concussion. The ERS (Emergency Release System) allows the side cheek padding of the Supertech to be extracted efficiently and safely, while the helmet is still on the rider’s head.

The Motorcycle Helmet Alpinestars Supertech S-M8 Solid MIPS Black Matte 2022 is a more affordable version of the S-M10 model, with a different shell material and a slightly higher weight.
