Ski goggles WORKER Simon - Product parameters
Ski and snowboard goggles can be divided into categories according to the user's age. Children's goggles are distinguished mainly by their small size. Junior's goggles are somewhere between children's and adult's. Adult's goggles are suitable for everyone over 15 years of age.
Lenses are divided into several categories, depending on how much light they let through.
S0 category lets through 80 - 100% of sunlight and is therefore suitable for night skiing, skiing at dusk, snowy weather and very dark clouds.
S1 category lets through 43 - 80% of sunlight and is suitable for dense fog and cloudy or rainy weather.
S2 category is probably the most commonly used and lets through 18 - 43% of sunlight. The tint is usually orange and suitable for winter or early spring, cloudy weather and slight fog.
S3 category lets through 8 - 18% of sunlight. The lenses are either dark or mirrored, suitable for spring weather in Alps and on icebergs, as well as clear or partly cloudy skies in Czech mountains.
Lens colour does not affect the level of UV protection. However, each colour is suitable for a different purpose. Yellow, orange or pink lenses improve your perception of contrasts and therefore brighten your vision. However, if you spend too much time with them on, your eyes will soon get tired. Goggles with smoky lenses are on the other hand suitable for sharply lit enviroment, for exapmle a bright sunny day or an iceberg.
Padding improves the adhesive qualities of goggles and ensures that the goggles perfectly follow the shape of the helmet, as well as your face. Padding also protects the face against uncomfortable sores and increses your comfort.
Goggles with graphics are suitable for those who don't really like classic designs. Goggles with graphics are brightly coloured, fashionable and will make you stand out on the slope.
There are two types of lens for goggles. Double lens for downhill skiing serves to prevent misting, along with air vents. Single lens is a cheaper, more common option that serves its purpose, but can be susceptible to misting.
Goggles with good ventilation prevent misting and release moisture.
Adjustable strap serves to make the goggles fit the shape of your head perfectly.
